BLS / ACLS / PALS for Community Memorial Attending Physicians

Community Memorial Hospital – Ventura has a 2-part hybrid process in place to certify our Community Memorial Healthcare attending physicians in American Red Cross:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

The first part is comprised of a cognitive portion that is completed online through HealthStream. You will find the course on your HealthStream “To Do” page once you have purchased your seat.

After completing the first part, contact our instructor, Ray Burke, for the second part (rburke@mycmh.org).

The second part is a skills assessment which is completed in-person with our instructor. The skills check encompasses competencies in patient ventilation, chest compressions, intra-osseous insertion, first-line medications, monitoring, and electrical therapies.

The skills assessment is offered monthly in the Education Department on the 2nd Floor of the Mountain Tower.
