Nutrition Coaching

Community Memorial’s Nutrition Coaching program is focused on empowering you with the knowledge and tools you need to make the food choices that best support your health and wellness goals.

Our Team

Our Nutrition Coaching team is made up of registered dieticians (RDs) who provide services in-person or via telehealth. Registered dieticians are food and nutrition experts who have met specific education and training criteria to earn an RD credential and have passed the Commission on Dietetic Registration exam. They may provide nutrition coaching, meal planning, medical nutrition therapy, and nutrition education in both clinical and non-clinical settings. They also provide nutrition guidance as it relates to the management of specific health conditions or diagnosis.

Services

Almost anyone can benefit from nutrition coaching, regardless of health status or diagnosis. But for many, nutrition is a key component of managing an existing or newly diagnosed condition. Our registered dieticians provide guidance on nutrition for patients with:

  • Diabetes
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Kidney disease
  • Cancer
  • Gastrointestinal conditions
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders
  • Obesity
  • Pediatric diagnosis

Sessions with your registered dietitian may also include guidance on movement and exercise, food choices and meal planning, grocery shopping, and disease prevention.

Nutrition Coaching is currently available via telehealth, or in person at Community Memorial Health Centers throughout west Ventura County.
