Whether you’re thinking about a career in the health sciences or just looking for an interesting community service opportunity, the Junior Volunteer Program at Community Memorial Hospital – Ventura is a great way to volunteer:

Many Ways to Help

Junior volunteer opportunities are available after school on weekdays and on weekends. Services include Desk Reception/Flyer, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Gift Shop, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Pharmacy, and Same Day Surgery. No matter which service or department you volunteer with, you will assist and support the staff as needed. Junior volunteers will select 4 areas of interest and we will do our best to accommodate your choices.

Application Packets are available at the front desk of the Ocean Tower.

Hard copies must be turned in at the the front desk of the Ocean Tower, along with supporting documents outlined in the application packet.

Requirements

  • Be between 14 and 18 years old (incoming seniors must apply by May of their junior year)
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Commit to a full calendar year of service, during which you work at least 80 hours total
  • Submit 2 letters of recommendation from teacher
