Endless Summer - Lakeside Event Supports Ojai's Local Hospital

The Ojai Valley Hospital Foundation Guild is proud to present its annual summer fundraiser – Endless Summer Lakeside – on Saturday, August 15 at Lake Casitas. The public is invited to support this fun event by buying tickets or sponsorship packages and enjoy a beautiful lakeside evening with friends, family, and fellow supporters of Community Memorial Hospital – Ojai.

Supporting a Modernized Ojai Hospital 

Funds raised from this event will go toward “Powering the Future,” an initiative to modernize the infrastructure at Community Memorial Hospital – Ojai. The estimated overall cost for this initiative is $3.5 million; $925,000 is still needed to close the funding gap. All funds raised in Ojai stay in Ojai.

While the Ojai Valley is a unique and beautiful place to live, its distance from the nearest metropolitan area can impact access to vital healthcare services, especially during medical emergencies or natural disasters. Community Memorial Hospital – Ojai remains an essential community asset and is committed to delivering top-caliber care in the Ojai Valley, now and in the future. Delivering on this commitment requires advanced imaging, reliable power, safe and efficient patient access, and modernized facilities that can support growing patient volumes and clinical needs.

The “Powering the Future” project will modernize the Ojai hospital’s infrastructure to meet current and future needs including major electrical upgrades to help bring MRI services back to the Ojai Valley, expanded parking, better traffic flow, safer entry points, improved storm water management, and a campus that is easier to navigate.

Endless Summer Event Highlights 

Endless Summer Lakeside kicks off at 5 p.m. with cocktails, a lakeside carnival and a 50/50 Cash Raffle. Guests will enjoy adult carnival games like Squirrel Throwing, Bigfoot Hunt, and The Dump Truck, complete with classic plush prizes, including 30-inch carnival stuffies for the night’s big winners. For the 50/50 Raffle, half the pot goes home with one lucky winner and the other half is dedicated to help fund the “Powering the Future” initiative.

Dinner is at 6:30 p.m., followed by dessert, live music, and dancing. The menu features a Santa Maria-style barbecue of tri-tip and grilled chicken, grilled and roasted vegetables, seasonal side dishes and warm fruit cobbler à la mode. Guests are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts, shorts, sundresses, flip-flops, and flat shoes. Valet parking is included.
