Karin Eshagh, MD

About

Dr. Eshagh is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who has special training in skin cancer, facial reconstruction, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Eshagh attended Stanford University for her undergraduate studies and received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology with Honors and Distinction. She obtained her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego in La Jolla, CA and went on to complete a medicine internship at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. She continued her residency in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she was elected as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Eshagh has authored numerous articles on various dermatological conditions & cosmetic dermatology in multiple peer-reviewed academic journals, and she has also contributed chapters on cosmetic & medical dermatology in medical textbooks. She has given multiple lectures nationally on subjects ranging from scar cosmesis to skin cancer reconstruction. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Eshagh went on to complete additional training by completing an ACGME-approved Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of California, Davis. During her fellowship year, she performed over 500 skin cancer surgeries and reconstructions as the primary surgeon. This fellowship provides the highest level of surgical training in the dermatology field and is highly sought after among dermatology applicants with a very selective application process. She also completed an ASDS-accredited Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California. During her residency in NYC and fellowship in Northern California, she worked alongside numerous world-renowned cosmetic & laser dermatologists. Due to her extensive experience in lasers and injectables (i.e fillers), she is well-known for her talent in aesthetics & facial rejuvenation.

After completing her fellowship, Dr. Eshagh served as a Clinical instructor at UCLA in the Division of Dermatology. She taught residents and medical students the most advanced techniques in surgery, nail biopsies, and aesthetics.

Dr. Eshagh has enjoyed joining the CMH community and really strives to provide the highest level of care for her patients. She takes the time to listen in order to help patients achieve healthier skin and feel more confident.
