Alison Shuman, MD

Alison Shuman, MD, is a pediatric hospitalist and board-certified pediatrician who has cared for children and families in Ventura County since 2008. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey, where she graduated valedictorian, and completed her pediatric residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital in New York City. She also completed a 15-month fellowship in pediatric critical care before relocating to California in 2007.

Dr. Shuman is double board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine and provides comprehensive inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she partners closely with families to ensure children receive high-quality, compassionate care close to home. Her background in pediatric critical care and hospital medicine allows her to care for patients with a wide range of medical needs while supporting families throughout every stage of hospitalization.
