About

Hometown: Thousand Oaks, CA

Medical School: California Health Sciences University

Undergraduate School: CSU Northridge

Life Before Medical School: I grew up in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, CA, and attended CSUN, where I completed a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Before medical school, I worked at an optometry office for 5 years as an optometric technician, then progressed to become senior technician and patient accounts manager. I also participated in programs such as patient advocacy and language support, peer counseling on depression and suicide prevention, and student research for a biophysics laboratory investigating bacterial mechanisms in antibiotic resistance.

Why Community Memorial? Initially, I was interested in Community Memorial Healthcare due to its proximity to my family home and because it is in my home county where I grew up. But after doing my sub-I at Community Memorial Healthcare, I was able to see how warm and kind everyone is and how much care and dedication goes into the training of the residents. It offered the best balance between excellence in training and balance in life and happiness. I knew that I would be happiest training at Community Memorial Healthcare!

Hobbies: My hobbies include playing piano, karaoke, hiking, gardening, basketball, and weight training at the gym. I have a dog named Desmond and he is my favorite in the entire world — I love hiking with him and my dad!!
