About
Hometown: Missoula, MT
Medical School: University of Washington
Undergraduate School: Montana State University
Life Before Medical School: Born and raised in Montana, I fell in love with water and decided to study Environmental Engineering while helping contain wildland fire on a district and hot shot crew during the summers. I’ve also spent stints of time working in construction and as a barista before steering the train towards medicine and patient care.
Why Community Memorial?: The team at Community Memorial has an uplifting comradery that is infectious. While eating lunch during my interview I could barely eat my food because of the enriching conversations I had with residents and faculty, and I love food. During my 3rd year of medical school I was fortunate to witness the impact osteopathic medicine can have for certain conditions and became deeply inspired to learn and have this be part of the toolkit I use to help patients thrive. This insight led me to Community Memorial, which offers an exceptional opportunity to explore osteopathy as well as meet my other clinical interests including, preventative medicine and sports medicine. Lastly, the sunshine and tide. Nature is ancillary to my well being, and Ventura has amazing access to the activities I love outside the wards.
Hobbies: Running, biking, skiing, hockey, hopefully surfing, talking, cooking and subsequently eating.
