Life Before Medical School: I worked as a pharmacy cashier in Beverly Hills for six months after college, and then worked as a medical biller for a family medicine physician in South El Monte for a little over a year.
Why Ventura? After spending a year in Central Florida, I wanted to be closer to family, close friends, and my fiancée. I was also drawn to the Community Memorial psychiatry residency's emphasis on community psychiatry and I want to play a role in shaping public systems that serve the mental health needs of underserved/minoritized communities.
Medical Interest: Transitional Age Youth Psychiatry, Cultural Psychiatry
