Life Before Medical School: Before medical school, I worked as a medical assistant/scribe for an orthopaedic surgeon in San Diego, CA. I also spent my time volunteering at Scripps Mercy Hospital in the emergency room and trauma department. I joined the United States Navy to truly fulfill my passion for service. Outside of the world of medicine, I fostered many dogs and continued playing my favorite sport, volleyball, in adult leagues.

Why Community Memorial? I am excited to be able to continue my general surgery training at an institution that affords me the opportunity to remain active duty. I am especially excited about the high operative volume Community Memorial has to offer. The residents truly seem like a family and I am looking forward to being a part of such a supportive and fun group.
