Life Before Medical School: I grew up in Canada and moved to Maine for medical school. Prior to this, I completed a Master's degree in a stem cell lab doing toxicology research, then spent two years working in the biotech industry (while also working as a medical scribe and research assistant!), which helped me learn a lot about the US healthcare system.
Why Community Memorial?: I had a great experience as an auditioning student and I couldn't have chosen a better residency — where I feel valued and challenged to become the best surgeon and physician, but also supported by everyone from faculty to residents to hospital staff. Plus, living in a sweet historic California surf town is a dream come true.
Hobbies: Any outdoor adventures (surfing, hiking, skiing), checking out farmers' markets and cute local shops, hosting dinner parties, and live music.
