Undergraduate School: University of North Texas

Life Before Medical School: I had one gap year between undergraduate and medical school, during which I was living in Irvine, CA, working briefly as a COVID-19 Lab Technician and then as a medical assistant/TMS Technician at an outpatient psychiatry clinic.

Why Community Memorial? Besides the gorgeous location and proximity to family and friends, I dreamed of training at a community psychiatry program. I think that patients requiring chronic management of severe conditions experience different barriers when it comes to treatment, especially dependent on their socioeconomic circumstances. I hope to learn a great deal working with Community Memorial Healthcare's integrated behavioral health and support care systems. Additionally, Community Memorial Healthcare boasts a diverse patient population, including exposure to those battling addiction and recovering in the correctional system. I plan to diversify my skillset and be able to provide the appropriate resources to any patient I may encounter to help them regain autonomy in their lives.

Hobbies: PC gaming, reading, collecting trinkets, crafting, pickleball, and volleyball.
