Life Before Medical School: I was born in California but grew up abroad, having lived most of my life in Turkey and India. After moving back to the states for college, I found my way into medicine working as a medical assistant and EMT before heading to Colorado for medical school. Somewhere down the road, I'd love to bring it all full circle and work with underserved communities.
Why Community Memorial? After completing my sub-internship at Community Memorial, I fell in love with the supportive community and was thrilled to return for residency. The close proximity to home in sunny Ventura and family feel at Community Memorial Healthcare made for an easy decision on where I want to train.
Hobbies: Outside the OR, I love to surf, run, and watch basketball. I'm also passionate about learning new languages and talking about research.
