Life Before Medical School: Before residency, my path brought together medicine, research, and community engagement. After medical school in Egypt, I moved to the United States and completed a PhD at Scripps Research, where I focused on clinical genomics, machine learning, and precision medicine. I also had the opportunity to be involved in clinical research and community outreach — experiences that strengthened my commitment to patient care and to building a career that connects research with the bedside.
Why Community Memorial? Community Memorial stood out to me because of its strong sense of community and the warmth I felt from the program. I was drawn to the supportive environment, the strength of the clinical training, and the sense that people here are genuinely invested in one another's growth. I want to train in a place that will challenge me, help me become the best physician I can be, and surround me with colleagues and mentors who care deeply about their patients and each other. Community Memorial felt like the kind of place where I could truly grow and belong.
Hobbies: I enjoy running, hiking, cycling, fitness, reading history, photography, and listening to podcasts. I also love spending time with friends and family.
