Robert Sogomonian, MD

About

Robert Sogomonian, MD, was raised in California and moved to New York City for his specialty training. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Health System in New York City.

Dr. Sogomonian is triple board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Sogomonian’s clinical interests and services include:

  • Coronary artery disease, for which he performs angioplasty and stenting, atherectomy, intravascular lithotripsy, intravascular imaging and mechanical circulatory support
  • Peripheral arterial disease, including the carotid, subclavian, iliac, abdominal aorta and leg arteries, for which he performs endovascular percutaneous angioplasty and intervention
  • Venous disease, Pulmonary embolism treatment, including mechanical thrombectomy and catheter-directed thrombolysis
  • Adult cardiovascular disease

Dr. Sogomonian and his wife, Emma, have four children and enjoy family activities, traveling and sports.
