Heather Matheny, MD

About

Dr. Heather Matheny is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon specializing in the comprehensive management of arterial and venous diseases. She completed her vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Washington, where she gained advanced experience in complex open and endovascular procedures, including branched and fenestrated aortic repairs, carotid interventions, limb salvage, and venous interventions. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco – Fresno, where she developed a strong foundation in broad-based surgical care and clinical leadership.

Dr. Matheny’s clinical interests include cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, aortic pathology, and both deep and superficial venous disorders. She is skilled in minimally invasive techniques for aortic aneurysms, peripheral revascularization, and venous ablation, as well as open surgical reconstruction when indicated. Her approach emphasizes individualized treatment plans that align with each patient’s medical needs, goals, and quality of life.
