Charu Singh, MD

About

Dr. Singh is a board certified radiation oncologist with expertise in stereotactic radiosurgery, gamma knife and cyberknife, gynecologic malignancies, brachytherapy, pediatric oncology, CNS malignancies, and various other areas like prostate, head and neck, GI cancers, and hematologic malignancies.

Dr. Singh is a graduate of Radiation Oncology residency program at Yale School of Medicine. She completed two stereotactic radiosurgery fellowships in the Department of Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology at Yale School of Medicine. She was also a pediatric radiation oncology fellow at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, treating pediatric cancer with both proton and photon therapy. She obtained her medical degree from the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, India and also completed her first Radiation Oncology residency at Sawai Man Singh Medical College and Hospital, India. She completed an internship year in General Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Singh's research has focused on pediatric brain tumors, stereotactic radiosurgery for brain metastases, cancer disparities in radiosurgery, and glioblastoma. She also led brachytherapy workshops for gynecologic cancers at Yale during her time there. She is dedicated to the treatment of cancer with advanced technologies that maximize outcomes and minimize side effects.

Outside of work, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time with her family, scuba diving, swimming, biking, and playing music.
