Our recent humanitarian medical service trip to Jamaica, conducted in partnership with West Africa Community Missions, demonstrates our program’s commitment to service, education, and global health. Over the course of the trip, our team established multiple free clinics to provide care for underserved communities, offering essential supplies, providing medications, performing examinations, and coordinating referrals to local specialists when necessary. These clinics allowed us to deliver meaningful, hands-on care while addressing critical healthcare needs in resource-limited settings.
For our residents, this global health experience was an opportunity to hone clinical acumen, develop cultural humility, strengthen teamwork, and adapt to the unique challenges of practicing medicine in underserved areas. Experiences like this reflect our dedication to preparing residents not only as skilled clinicians, but also as compassionate, community-focused physicians.
We are currently planning to return to Jamaica for another humanitarian medical service trip in 2026.
